  • Professional & Business Details: Professional qualification (CA, CS, CMA, Advocate, GSTP, Consultant, Tax Practitioner, etc.), Business/Firm/Company Name, Nature of Business, and optional GSTIN/PAN.

B. Payment & Transactional Data

  • When paying membership fees, payments are routed through verified third-party Payment Service Providers (Payment Gateways).
  • Important: NGSTA does not collect, view, or store your credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs, or net banking passwords on our servers. All financial transactions are processed securely through PCI-DSS-compliant payment aggregators. Our server only receives an encrypted confirmation token and transaction ID to generate your membership record.

C. Technical, Device & Log Information

When you browse our platform, our servers automatically log:

  • IP Address, browser type, operating system, device characteristics, visiting timestamps, and referring URLs.
  • Cookies and session data essential for secure logins and certificate generation.

  • Membership Processing & Certification: Generating your unique, sequence-based Member ID, processing approvals, and rendering your official Certificate of Membership.
  • Communication & Regulatory Alerts: Sending statutory GST updates, notification summaries, CBIC circular breakdowns, webinar invitations, and official association circulars.
  • Support & Grievance Redressal: Responding to your queries, handling technical portal inquiries, and consolidating feedback for institutional policy advocacy.
  • Member Directory & Networking: Displaying basic professional details (e.g., Name, City, Professional Category) in the verified public/member directory (only where opted-in or standardly permitted for member verification).
  • System Integrity & Security: Preventing fraud, unauthorized certificate forging, and malicious access.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or business data to any third-party marketing companies. We only share information under the following limited circumstances:

  • Authorized Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors assisting in payment processing, server hosting, transactional SMS alerts, and email delivery. These partners are legally bound by strict confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by applicable Indian laws, court orders, government notices, or to enforce our association's legal rights and constitution.

  • Server-Side Validation: Membership approvals, payment status checks, and certificate issuances are validated strictly at the server level to prevent unauthorized client-side manipulation.

  • Restricted Access: Access to membership databases is restricted exclusively to authorized administrative personnel.
